"Can the label prevent transmission of the COVID-19 virus?"
This product has not yet been explicitly tested for the COVID-19 virus. However, it has been tested on other viruses from the human coronavirus family (ISO 21702 Human Coronavirus NL63), which have similar cellular structures, and has proven to be very effective.
"How does the biocidal process work?"
Based on photodynamics – germs and viruses are permanently eliminated with oxygen and visible light / artificial light. The photodynamic catalyst Dyphox® (pigment) is activated by light, resulting in energy transmitted to oxygen in the air (precursor). In this way, singlet oxygen is formed, which in another chemical process destroys microorganisms such as germs and viruses through oxidation (certified, patented Dyphox® coating technology).
"Is it possible to print foil?"
Labels can be printed using all standard monochrome
or color laser printers. You can print any message or graphic, but avoid printing the entire surface of the film. If fully printed, the printer toner would cover the biocidal surface of the label, thereby reducing the antimicrobial effect on the area.
