Learning to count, like reading or writing, does not have to be postponed until the toddler goes to kindergarten. Learning mathematics can be introduced much earlier - during everyday activities and games. Come on it seems very difficult.
How is learning mathematics? After all, mathematics requires the ability to infer, think abstractly, know numbers and build cause-and-effect relationships.
So how do you teach a child to count?
The first meeting with learning to count should always be fun, not a boring duty. A helpful tool here will be a set of sticks for learning to count from Viga. Colorful sticks will help to explore the secrets of mathematics, help in learning basic mathematical activities – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and even fractions.
Thanks to the sticks, the child will develop the following skills:
- classify items according to different colors and sizes,
- grouping items into collections,
- recalculating the elements of the set and comparing their contents,
- addition and subtraction,
- counting on sticks as the beginning of counting in memory,
- extracting quantitative characteristics - size, length, height,
- determining the position of objects in space and comparing distances.
The set contains 308 elements, each stick is a number expressed in color and size. The set includes sticks: white – 1cm; red – 2 cm; green – 3 cm; pink 4 cm; yellow – 5 cm; dark green – 6 cm; black – 7 cm; brown – 8 cm; blue – 9 cm; orange – 10 cm. The whole is packed in an aesthetic box closed with a drawer (acrylic lid).
