Otifree - ear wash for dogs and cats

OTIFREE has been composed in a way that allows intensive dissolution of earwax and dirt in the external ear canal, while not irritating the outer surface of the skin. In this way, optimal cleaning properties were obtained and effectively reducing the number of factors that can cause inflammation of the external ear canal, with good tolerance of the preparation. The ability to dissolve earwax was obtained thanks to a suitable surfactant. Oily compounds prevent drying of the skin, maintaining proper hydration and elasticity, which allows to maintain the correct structures of protective barriers.

Composition:

A mixture of specific oxyethylene compounds in a neutral, non-irritating, ear-specific substrate, with strong cleaning and care properties.

Use:

Ear washing method (H. Frede): fill the ear canal completely with a solution; grasp the elastic parts of the ear canal with the thumb and middle and ring fingers, and then, repeatedly compressing, massage upwards in the ventro-dorsal direction. Thus, the fluid is moved up and down, and the loose parts of the secretion are washed out towards the auricle.

The intensity of the massage depends on the severity of the pain caused by inflammation of the ear. Simultaneous massage of the ear canal increases, especially in cats, the acceptance of washing the ears. The liquid is removed from the ear with a cotton swab. After release, the animal gets rid of dirt particles from the deeper part of the ear canal by shaking its head. Further drying of the ear is unnecessary because OTIFREE does not tend to linger.

If the ear canal is improperly cleaned with cotton wool or something similar, there is a danger of causing otitis as a result of pushing the earwax deeper into the eardrum and as a result of cuts. In case of stronger dirt, rinse and massage the external ear canal several times. For more thorough cleaning, the ear canal should be rinsed under pressure after preliminary washing. This can be done with an OTIFREE bottle, dropper or ear rinse. As a softener, you can use both OTIFREE and water with body temperature. If water is used, OTIFREE should be used for repeated washing.
