PLAQUE CONTROL is a preparation containing natural sea algae (Ascophyllum nodosum), which have proven very beneficial effects on animal health, due to the high content of vitamins, minerals, exogenous amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids.
Plaque Control is a source of marine algae (Ascophyllum nodosum), which has been proven to have a very beneficial effect on animal health, due to the high content of unsaturated fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Sea algae regulate digestive processes, increase the overall immunity of the body, strengthen the coat and healthy appearance of the coat, support the regeneration of the nervous system and detoxify heavy metals. Regular administration of marine algae also contributes to reducing the formation of bacterial plaque and is an excellent prophylaxis against tartar.
How does marine algae (Ascophyllum nodosum) work?
The brown algae found in Plaque Control contains three groups of substances known to affect plaque accumulation:
- Phenols, iodine, phosphates.
- High content of fucoidan (10-15%), which is a source of sulfur that hinders the adhesion of bacteria to the pellicula.
- Zinc, silicates and sulphates, causing an increase in the sulpation of saliva components and may bind calcium.
It has been proven that brown seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) changes the properties of saliva, which hinders the deposition of tartar and the formation of tartar and reduces the overall amount of bacteria living in the mouth, thus preventing the appearance of unpleasant odor. When algae enter the digestive tract, their active ingredients enter the bloodstream, changing the composition of saliva in such a way that it contributes to the dissolution of stone and prevents bacterial plaque from settling on the teeth.
