The first Warsaw M-20 rolled off the assembly line on 6 November 1951 at 2 p.m. Initial plans called for production of 25,000 units per year, but by the end of 1951, only 75 had been built. Exports also began in 1954. Initially, the car went to China, Romania, Albania and Bulgaria. Vans were also built based on components dedicated to the Warsaw: Żuk, Nysa and Tarpan.
