In 1961, three Warsaw prototypes with sedan-type bodies were constructed. Changes in relation to previous versions were limited to the rear part of the body and the roof construction. The two couches covered with skai and fabric provided a high level of travelling comfort, their padding being compressed seagrass and springs. From 1970, a four-speed fully synchronised manual gearbox with a floor-mounted lever was fitted. Copies equipped in this way were mainly exported (Colombian market). Initially, the model was numbered 203, but after a protest from Peugeot (which had three-digit numbers with a zero in the middle), the designation was changed to 223.
