The Trovet RID diet is a complete and balanced food with adjusted nutrient levels to prevent and alleviate metabolic changes caused by kidney, heart or liver failure.
The Trovet RID diet is characterized by reduced levels of phosphorus and sodium, which allows to reduce hyperphosphataemia and allows you to control heart failure, hypertension and ascites. A moderate level of high-quality protein ensures coverage of the minimum daily requirement for amino acids and maintaining proper kidney function.
Elevated levels of B vitamins inhibit the development of the disease and contribute to the alleviation of disease symptoms. The addition of substances that raise the pH of urine counteracts acidosis.
