Morality goes to the background - instincts are beginning to take over. In abandoned building ruins you can find some useful remnants, but a trip to the city streets always involves risk. And if you meet soldiers? Or another desperate group? How will you behave?

That's how this War of Mine looks: Board game - based on the best-selling 11 bit studios computer game, nothing like what you know from other board games. Each round is not only a struggle for survival and management of elementary resources. It is also difficult moral choices that you will make at every step. Do you rob the family you have encountered from the last stocks? Or maybe you take only a part of them or even help with yours? Each choice has its consequences, which may occur in the least expected moment.

This War of Mine: Board game is a completely new approach to the game. Thanks to the Open & Play system, you can start the game immediately after removing it from the box and unfolding it on the table. It does not mean that the mechanics are irrelevant - the game has been prepared so that everything is intuitive and understandable even at the first attempt. During the turn you will decide together about the fate of your characters - are you hiding in ruins and starving to try to find something useful in the ruins, or carefully walk out onto the street to look for food or help? Or maybe someone will try to improve the conditions a bit and assemble the door or bed from the old boards? There are many possibilities, and each has a significant impact on the game and the story.
The axis of the game is the Book of Scripts - over 1,900 stories that will make no game the same. During the game you will surely be sent to the Script of Scripts. Have you found a suspicious basement? Have you met a wounded soldier? Have you come across an abandoned hotel? Consult the appropriate script to see how the event will go. What's more, the scripts are not just descriptions - usually you will have to make a choice - you will search the basement, will you leave, because you expect an ambush? Will you help a soldier, will you use the situation shamefully, or maybe you will just pass him without a trace of compassion? Each choice has its consequences.

The war is coming, but you are not ready for it. Can you survive in the difficult conditions of the besieged city? How will the fate of you and your companions go? Will you be carried away by instincts or will you preserve humanity?
