The basic version of the game is required to play: The Lost Island of Arnak.
The time has come for secrets to be revealed and closed doors to be finally opened. For now we have arrived on Arnak, and our methods are different from those of previous expeditions.
The Lost Island of Arnak: Expedition Leaders is an expansion that introduces asymmetrical starting conditions for each player. Players will take on the roles of leaders with unique abilities and will have the opportunity to try out strategies tailored to them. In addition, the box contains new temples to explore, as well as even more items, artifacts, assistants, and guards to add to the gameplay.
What does the expansion bring?
- 6 leaders with unique abilities and starting cards. Each player has the opportunity to take on the role of one of them and thus try out completely new strategies. Leaders add asymmetry to the game and allow for more effective targeting from the very beginning of the game.
- 2 new temples to explore: Temple of the Monkey and Temple of the Lizard. We can use them both with and without expedition leaders, alternatively to the lands from the basic version. To play using one of the new exploration tracks, simply place it on the exploration track on either side of the standard board.
- A variant of the red lunar scepter that provides access to more items and artifacts during play.
- New item cards, artifacts, and assistant and guardian tiles for variety in gameplay.
What is The Lost Island of Arnak?
It is an adventure game that combines the mechanics of deck building and worker placement. During the game players explore successive corners of the board and discover unknown terrains, skillfully managing the gathered resources. In addition to the classic effects, available cards are also used to deploy workers, and along with the discovery of successive parts of the island, completely new actions appear, which we will be able to perform. Some of them will require specific resources, so building a solid base will be crucial.
