Game Avel Castle Chronicles: New Tales
Though the Black Moon Monstrosity was defeated, the evil did not lay down its arms. Taking advantage of their ruler's weakness, the gods of the three dark moons, i.e. Strangler, Zigzag and Umber Wyrm, decided to launch their own sneak attack on Avel. No time to rest, the kingdom and its people need help! The Moon Beast is plaguing the inhabitants of a magical land, and you are the only one who can face it!
Chronicles of Avel Castle: New Tales is the first major expansion for the family hero game. In addition to the alternate monster you replace with the Monstrosity, it introduces 3 other universal modules that you can add to any game, as well as 3 adventure scenarios with new rules and changed victory conditions.
What does the add-on introduce?
- The Remains of Evil story campaign is perfect for small and large fans of fantasy worlds and adventure games. It consists of 3 scenarios that slightly change the course of the game by adding special objectives that must be completed in order to win. Played sequentially, they form a coherent story, but you can also use each of them on your own.
- 4 universal modules that will additionally diversify the gameplay, posing interesting challenges even for experienced Avel heroes. These include the Moon Beast (an alternate version of the base game's Monstrosity), Vicious Hunters (a new type of monster that hunts magical spirits) and the elven royal couple Titania and Oberon (they can be introduced together or separately, each offering players powerful magical support.
- A special almanac created by Janek Sielicki, containing an atmospheric introduction to both individual campaign scenarios and all game modules.
What are the Avel Castle Chronicles?
This is a cooperative board game for the whole family, in which we play the role of heroes and heroines responsible for saving a magical land. During the game, we will create our own characters with unique names and special equipment, and then we will explore the world, moving around the modular board. During the journey, we will encounter many dangers that we will have to fight, and each victory will bring us a certain reward: new weapons, armor, elixirs and gold. The collected goods will allow us to prepare for the final clash with the Monster that threatens the kingdom of Avel.
