Tekhenu: Set Time
Set Time is an addition to Tekhen, an extensive, heavy euro game by the famous Daniele Tascini (Teotihuacan, Tzolkin, The Adventures of Marco Polo) and Dávid Turczi (Anachrony, Tawantinsuyu). At a time when Egypt has grown to power, its rulers look beyond their borders. Seth, the god of war, orders to send troops to the distant land of Kannan and face the powerful Hittite empire. Seth's time significantly expands the elements of the base game, introducing a new action of the god Set along with a separate board, three new colors of Dice, as well as unprecedented meeple of Warriors and Priests. The addition makes Tekhenu a much more interactive game, because players will compete in the race to conquer foreign territories, reaping numerous benefits and new ways of scoring. On the occupied lands, the key will be the use of Priests, who will allow you to take control of a new type of cards - Artifacts. During Set, it will be more important than ever to be able to properly balance between the actions of individual Gods.
Time of expansion
This step has been prepared for a long time. Economy, politics, society - everything worked for the power of Egypt and for the glory of Seth. Now it's time to collect the fruits - the bloody fruits. Huge armies from the Nile march towards the fertile lands of Canaan, over which the Hittite empire extends its rule. Until then. A clash is inevitable and victory is certain. At least that's what we think.
God of War
By performing the Set action, you will use a separate board for conquests. You do not take the dice from under the Obelisk, but use the Grey Bones on the Set's board. Remember that all these Bones are Impure! When you take a Gray Dice, select the region corresponding to its value, and then place the first Building on the left from your Player board. Since sending troops to foreign lands is not a peaceful activity, after each such action you must place 1 Blood token on an Unclean dish on your board.
New bones
Set Time introduces three new types of dice: Red, Blue and 1 Green. All of them do not have walls 1 and 6, so they can only be modified by Scribes within 2-5, and all of them cannot be used to produce Resources. Red and Blue dice can be used to perform the action of any God, but they are always Impure. When we use the Red dice, we get as many Warriors as its value indicates; the same situation occurs with the Priests in the case of the Celestial Bones. The Green Bone, on the other hand, is always Pure and can be used for the action of any God except Anubis.
Artifacts
At Set time, a new type of card appears - Artifacts. When you select Destiny cards during the preparation for the game and in the Maat phase, you can purchase Artifact cards instead of them, paying for them with Priests. Artifacts do not bring any immediate benefits, but in the future you will be able to use them to cause one-time or permanent effects. For example, some Artifact cards will allow you to draw more Decree cards, others will allow you to perform God's actions for free, and still others will increase your production.
