Power consumption depends on cable length
Theoretically, the use of shorter cables should reduce energy consumption, due to lower energy losses along their length. Most devices, however, consume the same amount of energy, regardless of cable length. TL-SG105 analyzes the length of the cables connected to it and adjusts the amount of power consumed by the ports accordingly.
