SG STEEL cutting disc for steel processing
Material: corundum (A 24, A 30, A 46, A 60) with a binder of synthetic resin reinforced with fibers. Standard hole 22.23 mm.
Application: for steel processing. Ideal for cutting sheet metal, profiles and solid steel material, making breakthroughs. The thin cutting blades (1.0-1.9 mm thick) are optimally suited for fast, comfortable burr-free cutting, the 2.4 mm blade is universally used for cutting, and the 3.0 to 3.2 mm blade thickness for the highest tool life with high lateral stability.
Tip: For safer processing with higher lateral stability of the cutting disc from Ø 178 mm, it is recommended to use a clamping flange.
Important tip for stainless steel processing.
When processing stainless steel , it is recommended to use tools that do not contain iron and sulfur compounds. Tools previously used for machining ordinary steel are not suitable for machining stainless steel. On the tool remain the remnants of ordinary steel. These residues damage any type of stainless steel alloy and can corrode the stainless steel workpiece. Even sparks generated during the processing of normal steel can destroy stainless steel alloys and corrode them.
