The TS-WULKAN/10 self-amalgamating tape is made on the basis of polyisobutylene rubberThe tape is widely used in sealing cable connections in both internal and external installationsThe correct arrangement of the tape ensures complete water resistance to fresh and sea water in a very wide temperature range
The tape is supplied with a plastic spacer, which must be removed before applying the tape
Correct tape application:
The tape has no glue, the sealing of the connection is the result of self-amalgamation of subsequent layers of tape
The surfaces on which the tape is applied should be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, oil and other contaminants
The correct application consists in wrapping (without a protective film) with such a tension that the tape narrows to 2/3 of its width and subsequent layers are laid behind the 50% overlap. This guarantees tight adhesion of the tape to the protected object and subsequent layers of tapeThe tension of the tape during wrapping is very important because it guarantees obtaining the right adhesion forceDepending on the ambient temperature, within a few hours the layers are vulcanized to each other, but not to the substrateWW room temperature (20°C) full vulcanization occurs after 24 hours
