Are you concerned about reports of money stolen from contactless and credit cards or ID card data? Are you terrified of the consequences of hacking into your account, using your data without your knowledge and consent, being able to track your presence? Designations of Polish proximity cards
If the card you have has one of these symbols, it means that your card is a contactless card and allows contactless transactions:
Did you know that your proximity card has a special antenna embedded in it, thanks to which it is possible to read data and collect money?
Did you know that transactions up to PLN 50 do not require entering a PIN code or even pulling a card out of your wallet? Just hold your card or wallet close to the reader. X-ray contactless credit card (X-RAY)
Did you know that it is enough to bring the reader close to your wallet, pocket or purse to read the signal transmitted by the card?
Unfortunately, convenient contactless payments that are built into debit and credit cards can be used by thieves to steal money. It is enough that in a store or shopping center a thief brings a special reader to your purse or pocket in which you carry the card and the money will flow to his account. Of course, you will notice this only on your bank statement, as long as you study it in detail.
To prove the dangers of having contactless cards, journalists in the USA made a video in which they show how easy it is to read data from the cards of random people in a shopping center. Of course, these people were not robbed, but they were all completely unaware that the man with the briefcase was reading their cards. People's reaction is shock and disbelief that what has just happened is so simple and so dangerous for their money.
Secure your sensitive data, protect your privacy and hard-earned money! There is a way to do it, in addition inexpensive and effective. Proximity or identification cards use RFID (Radio-frequency-identification) technology to remotely transfer data to a terminal or reader. Depending on the design, it is possible to read them from a distance of several centimeters to even several meters! Our data is therefore constantly exposed to unauthorized remote reading and use without our knowledge and against our will, and practically always to our detriment. Remember that the same chips are also mounted in passports, city cards and student IDs.
The way to protect and block the readability is to use a special protective case that locks (shields) and protects against reading data. The case is durable, resistant to tearing and moisture. It is enough to place the card in a special case to block the emission of the signal and thus prevent unauthorized reading of card data. However, if you want to pay conveniently by bringing the card close to the reader in a store or restaurant, all you have to do is remove it from the case.
