Extralink 1 Port PoE Inverter Input 1x 1000Mbps RJ45/Jack 10-24V, Output 24V
What is a PoE injector?
Poe injector allows you to supply power to a 10/100/1000mbps network on an Ethernet CAT5e, CAT6 or CAT6A network cable. The power source can be any power supply from 10 V to 30 V, and the output voltage of the injector is 24 V. The PoE adapter can be powered from the DC jack 5.5/2.1 mm - or from the pins of the RJ45 plug - 4.5 + (plus) and 7.8 - (minus). Thanks to the poe injector, a battery (12V or 24V) or passive PoE (10V-30V) can be used to power a 24V device.
If power is connected to the 2.1mm DC jack input - the power will be isolated from the male RJ-45 connector so that it can be connected to a switch or router. 24V output voltage is supplied to pins 3.6 + (plus) and 1.2 - (minus) of the RJ-45 female jack to power any 802.3af device. Both the voltage with which the receiving device is powered and the pins on which power over ethernet works are changed.
