Plastic model Lindberg - Jet XF-88 Voodoo
XF-88 Voodoo jet model in 1:48 scale, produced by the American company Lindberg
Difficulty level 1 (No painting and gluing required. Intended for persons over 8 years of age)
Models marked with the first level of difficulty are designed both for younger modelers who do not yet have much experience in assembling plastic models, and for those modelers who return to gluing models after many years of break. Most parts are usually pre-painted, thanks to which the model looks great even without the need to paint with your own hands. The designers also designed the models in such a way that their parts firmly bonded to each other without the need for gluing. Models marked with the first level of difficulty usually consist of a small number of parts, so they are assembled relatively quickly and pleasantly. In these models we will also find the usual self-adhesive stickers instead of decals, which are on the equipment of models marked with difficulty levels 2 and 3.
Difficulty level 2 (Painting and gluing required. Intended for persons over 10 years of age)
Models marked with the second level of difficulty are the most numerous and popular group of plastic models. Most of the models from this group are embossed in a neutral, e.g. white color that makes it easier to paint according to your preferences. Information on the color of the castings and the number of parts that make up the model can be found on the side wall of each model box. The greater the number of parts that make up a model, the better every detail of a complex model is reproduced. For the construction of sets marked with level 2 of difficulty, it will be necessary to equip yourself with a plastic glue (e.g. cyanoacrylate). On the equipment of these sets we will also find decals, which is applied using water. This way of wrapping the model allows you to get more realistic effects, because the graphics are more detailed and much thinner than ordinary stickers.
Difficulty level 3 (Painting and gluing required. Intended for persons over 12 years of age)
Models marked with the third level of difficulty are among the best models that reproduce the details of the market, at the same time putting the most demands on the modeler. These sets consist of a very large number, often extremely small elements. It is not uncommon for the manufacturer to attach additional elements to the set that allow the model to be assembled in one of many configurations. It is recommended that a modeler assembling a plastic model marked with 3 degrees of difficulty already has considerable modeling experience in this field. The manufacturer also provides for the possibility of painting the model in one of many color versions. As in the case of models marked with 2 degrees of difficulty, when folding, it will also be necessary to equip yourself with a plastic glue (e.g. cyanoacrylate) and appropriate accessories for painting.
