Currently, the GL-PRO-6 varnish meter is available in three versions:
– GL-PRO-6-F, probe on a ball cable, measurement only on steel sheets;
– GL-PRO-6-FA, probe on a ball cable, measurement on steel and aluminum sheets (automatic material recognition);
– GL-PRO-6-FAZ, probe on ball cable, measurement on steel and aluminum sheets (automatic material recognition with the function of detecting the zinc coating on the steel sheet).
The GL-PRO-6 meters use a measuring probe on the cable. The probe ends with the so-called ball, which facilitates measurement on curvatures. The meter has a measurement assistant function , which is useful when measuring on cars.®
The GL-PRO-6 series meters are solutions based on modern 32-bit processors. As a result, a fast and accurate measurement was obtained using a 12-bit converter.
The meters use an innovative design of the measuring probe, which allows spot measurement on ferromagnetic and non-magnetic materials (depending on the version), automatically recognizing the tested material and informing on the display about the type of material. The probe ends with the so-called ball.
The distinguishing feature of the GL-PRO-6-FAZ meters is the automatic recognition of whether the ferromagnetic sheet is covered with a zinc layer or whether it is non-galvanized. This is very important when measuring on the car – it will reveal to us which body elements were replaced with cheaper non-galvanized ones. The probe was completely developed by us.
The meter has a calibration function on thickness standards (included in the kit).
