Currently, the GL-PRO-2 paint gauge is available in three versions:
– GL-PRO-2-F, measurement only on steel sheets;
– GL-PRO-2-FA, measurement on steel and aluminum sheets (automatic material recognition);
– GL-PRO-2-FAZ, measurement on steel and aluminum sheets (automatic material recognition with the function of detecting the zinc coating on the steel sheet).
GL-PRO-2 series meters are solutions based on modern 32-bit processors. As a result, a fast and accurate measurement was obtained using a 12-bit converter.
The meters use an innovative design of the measuring probe, which allows spot measurement on ferromagnetic and non-magnetic materials (depending on the version), automatically recognizing the tested material and informing on the display about the type of material. The probe ends with the so-called ball.
The distinguishing feature of the GL-PRO-2-FAZ meters is the automatic recognition of whether the ferromagnetic sheet is covered with a zinc layer or whether it is not galvanized. This is very important when measuring on the car – it will reveal to us which body elements were replaced with cheaper non-galvanized ones. The probe was completely developed by us.
The meter has a calibration function on thickness standards (included in the kit).
The meters have a color, legible LCD display with a diagonal of 1.8 inches, which displays the current measurement, measurement statistics and all necessary functions. Operation is carried out using a 4-button keypad and an additional trigger, the press of which illuminates the measuring place.
