This switch is an internal variation of the well-known netFiber 9 switch - used by many small and medium-sized ISPs for reliable 10 Gigabit fibre connections over 100 metres. With five 1G SFP ports, four 10G SFP+ ports and an additional Gigabit Ethernet port, this is an ideal upgrade for existing CRS212 configurations. You get a modern ARM v7 processor, 256MB of RAM and improved cooling. The new Marvell switch chips bring phenomenal performance to the table!

The Gigabit Ethernet port has a direct connection to the switch chip - so you can enjoy full Gigabit speeds. It supports PoE-in, providing an additional power option in difficult locations.

You can mount this switch in a standard 1U rack to keep everything tidy. And it has all the power you'd expect from a rack-mounted device: the CRS310 supports hardware VLAN filtering. And it even offloads Layer 3 routing to some devices.

The CRS310-1G-5S-4S+IN is a fantastic tool for anyone working with internal connections over 100 metres, keeping data loss and pings low. Fibre can be a great alternative to copper if you are concerned about electromagnetic interference, sabotage or eavesdropping.
