How does the BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filter work?
Filtration through BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance is a 4-step process:
- Super fine mesh: captures large particles from old water pipes, e.g. sand or rust.
- Natural activated carbon beads, made from coconuts, prevent chlorine and its derivatives from getting into the filtered water, as well as trace contaminants such as herbicides, pesticides and pharmaceutical residues (if present in tap water)
- Ion exchanger beads reduce metals: e.g. lead and copper and soften the water.
- An additional high-performance filter mesh is 4x better at retaining contaminants compared to the previous MAXTRA+ filter (particle size 30 m)
In addition, the PerfectFit mechanism ensures that all water is thoroughly filtered when using original BRITA cartridges.
