S-4 tamper circuit reed switch
Magnetic detectors are one of the basic perimeter protection devices. They are used to protect doors, windows, etc., reacting to their opening. The S-4 detector is designed for surface mounting by screwing it e.g. onto a window frame or doorframe. S-4 consists of two parts, placed in aesthetic housings: a reed (magnetic) sensor and a magnet. Moving one part away from the other opens the sensor circuit, which is signalled as a violation. The detector is equipped with a tamper contact and an additional M terminal to facilitate the installation of an EOL end-of-line resistor.
The S-4 is adapted for use with any control panel equipped with NC inputs, as well as in automation systems as a control element. The S-4 detector complies with the Grade 2 requirements set out in the EN 50131-1 and EN 50131-2-6 standards.
