The modern American Pershing tanks caught on in the last months of the Second World War, being highly effective. They were mostly deployed in General Patton's army, where they did an excellent job. The production of tanks began in 1944 and lasted until the following year. About 2200 copies were produced. The tank was equipped with armour up to 102 mm thick and an effective M3 90 mm cannon. The end of the Second World War did not mean the end of the model's service. The tanks went into battle again during the Korean War in 1950-1953.
The set has been carefully designed in 1:28 scale using 904 COBI building blocks. The tank model has movable elements such as working caterpillar traction, rotating wheels, raised and lowered cannon barrel, rotating turret, opening hatches and engine service hatch. The set comes with a new tank driver figurine. The bricks and the figurine are covered with high-quality prints which do not wear off during intensive use. The whole set is completed with a plaque with the name of the model.
Thanks to the simple and intuitive instructions the set ensures exciting construction. The realistic model is sure to attract the attention of both mature and younger fans of blocks, history and military technology. It is a perfect supplement to the COBI Historical Collection dedicated to the Second World War.
