If the gasket leaks and CO2 enters the cooling system, the reaction fluid turns yellow or green. The principle of operation of the device is based on the measurement of CO2 concentration - in the case of increased concentration, the reaction fluid reacts with CO2 and changes its color. It allows you to check, m.in passenger cars, trucks, tractors, excavators, motorcycles, forklifts. The adapter is made of a special mixture of rubber resistant to high temperatures and soft - thanks to which it tightly adapts to the filler and tester tube, guaranteeing 100% tightness during the test. Test instructions: Fill the instrument with the reaction fluid to the level between the chambers (approx. 2ml). Connect the tester to the expansion tank or cooler hole. Start the engine, rev to higher speed to obtain a higher combustion pressure. Leave the engine slightly elevated and observe the behavior of the reaction fluid A change in the color of the reaction fluid to yellow or green within a few minutes of the test indicates a damaged gasket under the head or damage to the head itself. After the tests, carefully disassemble the instrument. Test results: Color change from blue to green in a diesel engine - indicates damage to the head gasket or the head itself. Color change from blue to yellow in a gasoline / LPG engine - means damage to the head gasket or the head itself. Reaction fluid blue color - No CO2 was detected in the system. Safety information: When performing the test on the radiator reservoir, it is mandatory to take extra care when unscrewing the cap on a warm engine and during the test itself - risk of burns! During the test, do not allow the coolant to mix with the reaction fluid - the test may be incorrect! Keep out of reach of children, wash your hands thoroughly after the test!
