The PREMIUM series is characterized by excellent quality of wires, high-quality materials were used for their production, in the last stage of the manufacturing process, GILDing of HDMI plugs was used. The cable along the entire length was covered with a protective braid ensuring high resistance to bends, crushes and other mechanical damage.
HDMI allows you to connect any standard-compliant audio/video device such as DVD players, Blu-ray disc players, game consoles, computers, monitors and digital TVs. Video data is transmitted using TMDS technology.
The most important feature of the HDMI interface developed in 2000-2002 is that it allows connection between individual audio/video devices using one cable, while maintaining the highest quality of transmitted image and sound and full functionality of the devices used, which at the same time significantly facilitates the wiring of a home audio/video system. This is a huge simplification compared to the connections used so far, which require a wide range of different wires. The technology is characterized by high image and sound quality and the ability to transmit images in very high resolution.
HDMI with Ethernet (HEC) network channel The HDMI 1.4 specification has added a new data channel to the HDMI protocol, which enables high-speed two-way communication. Devices equipped with this functionality can send and receive data via Ethernet at a speed of 100 Mb / sec. As part of the new functionality, it is possible to use applications using IP devices. It is enough for one home theater device to be connected to the home router, and all the others equipped with network functions (BD Live 2.0, access to YouTube, access to Internet radio stations, etc.) are able to connect to the Internet to get the most out of their capabilities using HDMI connectors. In this way, the need for additional connection of devices with a network cable is eliminated. At the same time, it is possible to exchange data between devices connected to each other.
3D via HDMI Specificity 1.4 defined the most popular 3D and resolution formats for devices equipped with an HDMI connector. The input and output parameters for home 3D systems for dual transmission of 1080p resolution have been standardized.
Audio return channel The new specification includes an Audio Return Channel (ARC), which will reduce the number of cables needed to download audio signals from devices. Particularly useful functionality in situations where the TV gets directly audio and video signals from the TV antenna. In this case, the new audio return channel will allow the audio stream to be sent to the receiver based on the HDMI connection without the need for additional cable connections.
Support 4K x 2K resolution The new specification allows devices equipped with an HDMI connector to transmit a resolution 4x higher than 1080p, the so-called Quad HD. Support for 4Kx2K allowed based on the HDMI standard to support the same resolution as many digital commercial cinemas. Supported formats include:
- 3840x2160 24Hz/25Hz/30Hz
- 4096x2160 24Hz
Support for different color spaces HDMI technology supports color spaces dedicated to digital cameras. By supporting sYCC601, Adobe RGB, and AdobeYCC60, HDMI devices are able to reproduce colors more precisely when connected to a digital camera.
