Manual reamer, adjustable
Execution: DIN 859, shape B, with cylindrical grip and quadrangular carrier.
The uneven inter-blade graduation ensures the accuracy of holes made without notches. The body of the reamer has a cut, with a screw the nominal diameter can be increased by approx. 1/100. Adjustments shall be made by means of a check. Possibility to set any dimensions. Reamers are set to nominal size. They should be loosened to avoid breakage Tools should be stored in an expanded state. Uncoated surface.
Diameters 4 and 5 mm with straight groove, from diameter 6 mm with helical groove (left-handed spiral 7°).
Application: most often used for unit production or repair work, intended only for reaming through holes. Due to the conical cut and the face screw, it is not suitable for processing blind holes. Also designed for intermittent machining. For steels with a strength of up to 500 N/mm2, e.g. for ordinary structural steels, steel materials with a strength of up to 900 N/mm2 such as free-cutting steels, heat conditioning steels, tool steels, cast iron and non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, brass, copper and bronze.
Note: the reamer is sensitive to shocks, so it is not recommended to tap the tool to remove chips. Chips must be blown or rinsed.
