Prague Caput Regni is a strategy game by veteran of this genre, Vladimír Suchý (Underwater Cities, Pulsar 2849), transporting players to the fourteenth century Prague. Here we will become its rich inhabitants, competing with each other in the development of the greatest city in Europe at that time. The game solves the action mechanics in an innovative way by introducing the Action Crane, where the actions move in a circle, offering additional benefits if executed later. Prague has a wonderfully designed graphic layer, created by Milan Vavroň (Tzolkin, Mage Knight), which in addition to beautiful and detailed graphics also offers large, three-dimensional buildings of the city. It will work great as a multiplayer strategy, also offering a solo variant.

Construction is ongoing!
Caput regni is latin for the head of the kingdom. This is what Prague is - the capital of the most powerful state in Europe, the Holy Roman Empire. This empire is ruled by Charles IV of Luxembourg, and you are his powerful subjects. Your task will be to make Prague the greatest city in the entire empire. Although it is a team effort, each of you wants to stand out from the rest and win the favor of your monarch. The fight for the title of Prague's greatest architect begins!

Action Crane
In Prague Caput Regni, each player will have to make 16 turns, which are measured by the Action Crane. At the beginning of the turn, the player takes any Action tile from the Crane and performs one of the two actions available on it. After each turn, the Crane rotates, and the tiles on it change their position, entering the next zones. While we have to pay gold for using a tile in the red zone, we do not pay for a tile in the blue zone and we receive an additional PZ.

Construction of the city
In the game we can perform 6 actions. The first two allow you to obtain raw materials - gold or stone. The next three are related to the tiles available on the Main board. Tiles of Upgrades are placed on the player's Action board, while the tiles of the Wall - we attach to it. In this way, we will expand our Action board, and the tiles touching the appropriate sides will provide additional bonuses. Finally, we use the tiles of the Buildings to expand Prague, competing to control as many districts as possible.

The power of the capital
The last available action is the Construction of the Royal Route and Charles Bridge. There are several three-dimensional buildings in the game. In addition to the Bridge, these are also the Cathedral and the Hunger Wall. All of them are expanded thanks to the appropriate compilation of tiles. Sometimes we will receive Golden Windows, which provide additional action to use, additional actions can be used even for development on the Technology Track, which in turn will give us additional tiles ... In Prague Caput Regni, a multitude of mutually reinforcing elements intertwine. There are many gameplay strategies hidden in them, none of which are the best.
