Great Western Trail Game (Rebel)
America, mid 19th century: you are a rancher from the farthest corner of the west, looking to make a fortune by delivering the best cattle to recipients in the east of the country. Purchasing your most valuable cows and delivering them to the Kansas City train station is the best way you know how to make that dream come true. Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, the farther away your target city is, the bigger your cattle sales! However, achieving success is not easy. Along the way, you will meet other ranchers who are just as eager for adventure and profit. Or maybe even more?
Great Western Trail is a recognized strategy game in which we play the role of cattle breeders. During the game, we have to take care of our herd and respond to its needs, as well as effectively transport it to the loading point. Fortunately, we are not alone. Cowboys will help us take care of the cows, craftsmen will let us build our own buildings, and engineers will manage important railway connections.
What is it all about?
As you play, you will move your rancher along the trail from the lower right corner of the board to Kansas City in the upper left corner. Along the way, there will be actions available, offering various ways to earn victory points: erecting buildings, buying cows at the cattle market, upgrading train stations or removing all kinds of dangers.
Each time your rancher reaches Kansas City, you must send the cows by train to another city, which also earns you victory points. The rancher then continues his journey from the lower right corner of the board, arriving at Kansas City approximately 5 to 7 times throughout the game.
Victory points are added up at the end of the game from the various areas in front of the player and the elements on the board marked with his color. Whoever gets the most wins!

- The optional Simmental variant takes into account the development of our animals and introduces special orange cow cards. They show cows in three stages: Simmental calf, Simmental heifer and Simmental cow. Older animals cannot be purchased, but each time you reach Kansas City, you can upgrade your cows, increasing their value.
