Game Dune Empire (EN)
Arrakis. Dune. Desert planet. Stand at the head of one of the high families of Landsraad. Raise your banner over the vast wasteland and send your warriors and spies into action. Who will you form an alliance with and who will you betray? The ruthless Emperor, the mysterious Bene Gesserit, the clever Space Guild and the savage Fremeni await you. Power over an empire may be yours, and war is not the only way to gain it.
Dune: Empire is a strategy game that combines the mechanics of building a deck and deploying agents on the board (worker placement). It's up to you how you build up your power. Will you look for political alliances or create a military advantage? The power of economics or subtle intrigues? A place on the council or a sharp blade? The choice is yours. The Empire is waiting.
Each player starts the game with an identical starting deck, and a Leader card, which gives a unique skill. As you earn new cards and shape your deck, your choices will determine your strengths and weaknesses. Cards allow you to send agents to different places on the board, so the strategy is influenced by the evolution of the deck itself. You can become a military power, capable of deploying more troops than your opponents, or you can get cards that open the door to the four political factions represented in the game: the Emperor, the Space Guild, the Bene Gesserit Order and, of course, the Fremen.
The game uses elements and characters taken from the Dune universe, both from the latest Legendary Pictures film and a series of novels by Frank Herbert.
