Cascadia
Create a diverse environment for wildlife.
Move to a picturesque land in North America and create the vibrant habitat of Cascadia. On your turn, choose a pair of tiles and a token and add them to your growing ecosystem. Lay out as large an area of mountain, river or prairie as possible, and place animals in scoring arrangements.
About the location
The Northwest Coast, also known as the Cascadia, is a geographic land located in western North America, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Rocky Mountains to the east. Although official boundaries have not been drawn, the Cascadia area is assumed to consist of the Canadian province of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory, and the American states of Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
About the game
In Cascadia, players compete to create the most diverse Northwest Coast environment by selecting habitat tiles and animal tokens and arranging them into beautiful landscapes. Each game of Cascadia presents a unique challenge and a different combination of scoring objectives linked to the game's five animal species. In addition to arranging the animals according to the set patterns, players will also try to create the largest possible habitat areas. As players develop their environments, they must pay close attention to the habitats they create and the animals that inhabit them in order to create the most harmonious Cascadia ecosystem possible.
Despite the very simple 'pick and place' rules, the game offers interesting decisions and great depth of gameplay. Thanks to the modular board and variable objectives, each game will be different and will also appeal to advanced players.
Cascadia features several game modes including solo and family variants, making it easy to adapt to age, skill level and number of players. Thanks to the achievement system and scenarios, each subsequent game will be just as interesting, presenting players with new challenges.
