Captain Philip Game
Raise your flag, recruit a crew, and fill your chests with shiny gold coins! In Captain Flip, you have the opportunity to take on the role of one of the pirate captains who are trying to get rich by choosing their subordinates as wisely as possible. On your turn, you draw a tile. Do you like it? You can keep it. If not, you flip it over and then place it on your board to gather your crew. The whole thing is based on skillful combination of effects and taking well-calculated risks.
What does it involve?
- During the game, participants take turns, and each of them follows the same pattern:
- The player draws one of the character tiles from the bag so that they can see only one side.
- They choose whether to keep the character or flip it over (and leave it on the new side).
- They place the drawn character in any column on their board on the lowest available space (and receive a bonus if they complete one column in this way).
The character tiles available in the game have assigned effects. Some of them are immediate (they are resolved immediately after placing the tile on the board), others work at the end of the game. The key to victory is skillfully arranging the characters on the board to gain as many coins as possible from individual effects.
The game ends when someone fills 4 columns on their board. After the end of game effects are resolved, the participants count the coins collected. The richest captain wins!
