Complementary food - calming snacks for dogs
They contain L-tryptophan. This amino acid is used by the body to produce serotonin - a neurotransmitter that makes it easier to calm hyperactive, nervous or restless dogs, without side effects and addiction. In addition, snacks contain lemon balm and chamomile extract, which are known for their calming properties. Crispy snacks with chicken filling that gives them an excellent taste are especially recommended for puppies in combination with positive reinforcement training and serve to reduce stress in the first period of life in a new home.
Each dog may react to stress slightly differently, but most often these behaviors may include:
- whining/barking/howling,
- polluting the apartment with feces when he is left alone at home,
- destruction of objects,
- aggressive behavior towards other people or animals,
- barking at moving vehicles,
- breaking out on a leash,
- running in circles "behind the tail",
- panic during a storm, fireworks,
- excessive biting or licking of the coat leading even to the formation of wounds.
Problems can occur in any dog, but more often they appear in sensitive dogs, after transitions, adopted in adulthood, improperly socialized or incompetently trained, as well as... excessively pampered.
