Sharpener for sharpening the blade of a drill made of steel.
The sharpener is equipped with two working heads that allow you to sharpen a wide range of drill diameters.
The device is designed for intermittent operation.

The sharpener is used to sharpen blunted drills.
It is possible to sharpen drills intended for drilling in metal or universal drills.
The sharpener is not intended for sharpening drills with a blade made of ceramic materials, wood drills, feather drills, drills, crown drills and drills of a different shape than for steel drills and universal drills.

Sharpening the drill:
It is necessary to choose a hole in the head of the same diameter as the drill intended for sharpening.
Turn on the sharpener with the switch and wait until the grinding plate reaches the rated revolutions.
Insert the drill into the hole in the head and, after hearing the grinding sound, move it back and forth for 5 – 10 seconds, while pressing the drill with a slight force to the grinding plate.
Remove the drill from the head and then repeat the operation for the second edge of the drill blade.
The edge closer to the outer edge of the head is always sharpened.
The head holes have splines that limit the rotation of the drill in the hole.
This facilitates the sharpening process.
Remark! Each surface should be sharpened with the same amount of time and pressed with the same force.
This will prevent uneven sharpening of the drill.

After sharpening the drill, the results of the work should be evaluated.
If the top of the drill after sharpening turns blue or different from the natural color of the steel, this indicates overheating of the surface and the pressure of the drill to the grinding plate during sharpening should be reduced.
If, after sharpening, the edges of the drill blade are not equal in length, the sharpening time and pressure of each side of the drill should be aligned.
