Dixit 9 Jubilee Edition (new edition)
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the game Dixit, the creators of the game created an unusual project - they invited all graphic designers who had been preparing illustrations and combined their works with a common theme of stories and stories from around the world to cooperate.
This is how the Jubilee Edition was created: a unique set of 84 cards that will go to your hearts awakening the power of unlimited imagination.
Dixit is a game of associations, which unusual graphics, simple rules and unlimited imagination create a new dimension of entertainment.
What is this about?
Each player in his turn becomes a storyteller. He chooses one of his six pictures and comes up with an association with him. A sentence can be a single word, sound, quote - there are no restrictions, you can even sing something! Then the other players choose from among their cards the one that they think best fits the storyteller's password and put it face down on the table. Taleswapper shuffles all of these cards, including his cards, and places them on the table, revealing. Players (except for the fairy tales) secretly vote which card is the one to which the fairy tales coined. When everyone makes a selection, points are awarded.
If no one guesses which card belonged to the storyteller, because his association was too abstract, then he does not receive any points, and other players are awarded. Similarly, if all votes point to a fairy tale card - it means that the association was too simple or too literal. In other combinations, points are awarded and attention, if any of the players vote for the card you played, because you played something that in his opinion suited the association better, you get bonus points!
So let's play cards cleverly, trying to confuse other players, while keeping those to whom we have an interesting association and waiting with their play until your turn comes.
Remember that one image is worth more than a thousand words!
The author of the game is Jean Louis Roubira, a doctor working at the hospital in Poitiers with young patients experiencing difficulties in the school environment and outside. After several games in Dixit, they observed a significant improvement in formulated statements and relationships with other people. The game can also be used as a pedagogical and therapeutic tool.
