Add-on to the game Dixit or Dixit Odyssey

Discover new layers of associations, let your imagination run and embark on an amazing journey to regain harmony. With the help of new cards, your Dixit games will be even more interesting.

Dixit 8 is 84 new, well-drawn cards with the theme of harmony or fight for its maintenance. These cards can be combined with all editions and additions to the Dixit game.

Dixit is a game of associations, which unusual graphic design, simple rules and unlimited imagination create a new dimension of entertainment.

What is it about?

Each player on his turn becomes a storyteller. He chooses one of his 6 pictures and thinks about it. The sentence can be a single word, sound, quote - there are no restrictions, you can even sing something! Then the remaining players choose from among their cards the one that in their opinion best fits the password of the storyteller and put them covered on the table. Taleswapter shuffles all of these cards, including his own and puts them on the table, revealing them. Players (except the storyteller) secretly vote which card is the card to which the storyteller invented the association. When everyone makes a choice, points are awarded.

If nobody guesses which card belonged to the storyteller, because his association was too abstract, he does not receive any points, and the remaining players are rewarded. Similarly, if all voices indicate the storyteller's card - it means that the association was too simple or too literal. In other combinations, points and notes are assigned if any of the players votes on the card you played because you played something that he thinks better suited to the association, you get bonus points!

It's worth playing cards cleverly, trying to confuse other players, while keeping those to whom we have an interesting association and waiting with their play until it's your turn.

Remember that one picture is worth more than a thousand words!

The author of the game is Jean Louis Roubira, a physician working at Poitiers Hospital with young patients experiencing difficulties in and outside the school environment. After a few games in Dixit, they saw a significant improvement in formulated statements and relationships with other people. The game can also be used as a pedagogical and therapeutic tool.

Warning! This is not an independent game! The basic version of the game is required for the game: Dixit.
