A fiber optic to cable ethernet converter is a device that is used to transfer data between computers or servers using optical fiber. It is powered by an external DC 5V/1A power supply and has 2 ports: 1 SC fiber port and 1 RJ-45 Ethernet port. The fiber optic media converter works as follows:
First, connect the RJ-45 Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the device, and then connect the other end of the cable to your computer or server. Next, connect the SC fiber optic cable to the fiber port of the device, and the other end of the same cable to the fiber optic socket in the second media converter.
