Core drill
Design: with 19 mm Weldon shank, 6.35 mm inner hole.
Application: for use in magnetic or pole drills with Morse taper socket. The core drill cuts only a thin ring of material. The remaining core is pushed out by the ejector pin by the help of spring force. The chips are drained quickly to the outside, which minimizes the risk of breaking the tool. Making even large diameters of drilled holes requires relatively little energy. Compared with a twist drill, a core drill cuts only a small part of the total surface. As a result, a very large saving of energy and time is achieved.
