Carbon monoxide is a toxic gas, which is produced during the combustion process and is easily absorbed into the bloodstream when inhaled. Dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide can permanently damage the body and, in the worst case, can even lead to death. The greatest danger exists in places with poorly functioning ventilation, where the amount of air needed for the combustion process is too low. Carbon monoxide can be produced in rooms equipped with heating appliances, such as gas heaters, fireplaces, gas, oil and coal boilers, etc. Every year, several thousand accidents related to carbon monoxide occur in Poland. The only effective way to protect against this danger is to use a certified carbon monoxide detector.
The FireAngel FA3322 carbon monoxide detector is equipped with a state-of-the-art electrochemical sensor, which was developed at FireAngel's PACE-Sensor plant in Canada. The FireAngel FA3322 detector has a large backlit LCD display, which allows the current concentration of carbon monoxide in the air to be read out, in addition to temperature and humidity. A unique feature of the FA3322 detector is a display whose backlight changes depending on the operating state. During standard standby mode, the display will appear green. When a low concentration of carbon monoxide is detected, the screen is illuminated in orange, clearly indicating impending danger. If the alarm threshold is exceeded, the display flashes red. A loud audible signal of 85 dB, heard at a distance of as little as 1 m, ensures that attention is drawn to the danger. The built-in self-monitoring system continuously checks the device for correct operation and will signal if necessary. The user can test the detector himself at any time and read out the record of the highest readings over the last 30 days by pressing the large TEST/RESET button, which also allows the alarm to be silenced if necessary.
The sensor has a built-in lithium battery, which does not need to be replaced or recharged for a lifetime of 10 years. The unit will begin to notify the user of the end of life 30 days before it is fully discharged, indicating the need for replacement. The FireAngel FA3322 carbon monoxide detector has a 10-year warranty.
