Book We exercise our faces with a fly
An excellent booklet for all children who have problems with the pronunciation of particular words or sounds. This item is great fun for every little one, and all the exercises allow you to experience unforgettable adventures. Many children have bigger or smaller speech problems. It is a good idea to correct these problems from an early age in order to prevent them getting worse. This is achieved primarily through specialised speech therapy classes, but it is also important for children to practise at home in order to achieve the desired results. Not every parent has the necessary knowledge in this area. That is why the book "With a fly on the loose we practise our mouths" is a great help. It contains exercises for achieving the right mobility of the articulatory organs: lips, tongue, soft palate and mandible. However, training is best done through play, and no one better to encourage this than the book's main character, the fly Fefe. Like every fly, she has paws, wings, a trumpet and big eyes, but in every other respect she is unique.
Like a brave fireman, Fefe puts out fires, can fly faster than a plane, runs marathons, drives a car, draws, goes to kindergarten and even sings like an opera star. In passing, he provokes the toddler to exercise by suggesting specific, varied tasks. Thus, she encourages imitating the sound of a fire engine, making sounds of delight, showing her tongue, licking her lips, sending loud kisses, smacking her hands, drinking through a straw or making a balloon out of her mouth.
Each page of the book features a story starring Fefe the fly, as well as a black cloud in which the main character leaves a task for the little reader. The more difficult words are highlighted by a larger font. In addition, each task is accompanied by a message for the parent, which provides information on the purpose of the exercise and how to help the child to complete it correctly. The adventures of Fefe fly have been beautifully illustrated by Joanna Kłos.
