Azul
Azulejos - originally they were white and blue ceramic tiles, brought to Europe by the Moors. He gained fame and popularity in Portugal after the visit of King Manuel I in southern Spain. The king was fascinated by the stunning beauty of the Moorish decorations of the palace at the Alhambra, and under their impressed command to immediately decorate his palace in Portugal with similar tiles.
In Azul you will play the artist arranging beautiful mosaics from Azulejos on the walls of the royal palace in Évora.
During the round, each player chooses tiles from one of the suppliers' workshops and places them in his warehouse. Then all players simultaneously - in a strictly defined way - transfer the collected tiles to the wall of the palace. After laying the tiles on the wall, punts are counted. The player who scores the most points during the game wins.
