The compact Edifier 2.0 R1080BT kit is a new, refreshed version of the classic Edifier R1000T4 set. A sleek wooden MDF chassis minimizes acoustic resonance, while 4-inch woofers and 3/4-inch silk tweeters deliver deep, rich sound. The advantage is also practical buttons that allow you to conveniently adjust the volume level. Edifier R1080 Bluetooth also has dual stereo line-in ports with dynamic treble amplification on port A. However, the most important innovation is the ability to synchronize with Bluetooth devices.
Edifier R1080BT is available in two colors - black and white. In addition to the visible difference in the color of the cabinet, the white color variant has a striking yellow accent on the bass speaker. People who prefer to have a speaker system that sounds good and at the same time stands out at home should choose the white version.
The housing is made of medium density fiberboard (MDF). On the front, we can clearly see a 19 mm silk dome tweeter and a 4-inch midrange and woofer, and for aesthetic reasons no material cover was used.
The power and volume colors are at the top of the speaker's right channel. The power button in the middle also acts as a button to change the operating mode. A long press turns the power on/off, while a short press switches between Bluetooth (blue LED) and AUX (green LED) mode. The possibilities of connecting the R1080BT are rather simple, accepting only the LINE IN or AUX input.
